Our Client is an experienced, award-winning field sales agency with a proven track record of increasing sales and building brand advocacy. In short, they help big brands sell more.
Their grocery business covers all sectors whether its supermarkets, convenience, discount or foodservice/out of home.
Knowledge, experience and relevant qualifications for this job:
At least three year’s field marketing experience managing one or more contracts or a management/selling/training role in a similar sales or service environment.
Experience of task/project achievement requiring some strategic foresight.
Able to present across all medias to a high standard.
Previous experience of motivating teams and developing work relationships.
Numerate/able to manage budgets.
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
To recruit, train, motivate and develop direct reports and to ensure the field operation is effectively managed by being fully briefed, trained and equipped to fulfill the set tasks
To ensure accurate completion of all administration by field staff
To maintain and develop systems to measure achievement of objectives, including an appropriate level of field accompaniment and auditing
Maintenance and development of client relationships, including regular meetings to review performance of the operation, both financially and against Key Result Areas agreed.
To provide an executive summary to accompany all client monthly reports
Identification of business development opportunities and assistance to the CSD to prepare and present strategic proposals to add value to the client operation and extend the services provided
To monitor and control budgets, ensuring sales and profit targets are met.
To assist the CSD in the preparation and negotiation of the operating budget for the following year.
To ensure the correct Head Office Operational Departments are fully briefed in time to be able to deliver the services required to fulfill the client’s/field’s objectives
We are looking for a proven Commercial Manager from one of the following markets:
Proven and credible commercial experience gained primarily in a sales driven environment and including a clear understanding of working in agencies.
You are likely to be a National Account Manager (NAM) or Senior National Account Manager (SNAM)
o Proven and effective senior level client handling and influencing skills
o Experience of second line sales team management
